Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a small bowl and pour over the salmon fillet, rubbing it all over with the sauce. Place ginger strips on top and marinade for 30 minutes or more (I leave the marination overnight though.)
Transfer the ginger strips to a baking sheet and place the marinated salmon on top. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the salmon.
Baked in a preheated oven at 190 degrees C for 20-25 minutes or until cooked whereby the salmon meat becomes flaky when pricked with a fork or chopstick.
If the sauce is not enough, you can top it up by mixing the same marinade ingredients together and heat it up slightly in a microwave or oven and drizzle over the salmon when it is ready.
