Movie Review : Joker

To be honest, it was never in my books to enjoy such movie. Too grey, depressing and moody. But since it was highly raved about, I went for it. The show was nevertheless fantastic with very excellent acting from Joaquin Phoenix who was starring as The Joker. Even though it was still very grey and pessimistic as expected prior to the show, the well narrated plot and excellent starring does make up for it.

In fact I felt pretty pathetic for the character portrayed by the Joker. I guess it was never his intention to behave the way he did as his background and circumstances which he were brought up upon has inflicted greatly on his emotions and well-being. Even though it was just a movie, you can literally still feel your emotions being swayed by the characters throughout the plot. But it does give a really good insight to people with such mental illness.

I would say go for this great movie only if you can hold back your emotions and that you are already on a fantastic mood to reduce the emotional damage to the minimum. Otherwise be prepared for something that might be a mood spoiler for the day. LOL.

Have a great weekend ahead !
