Time flies… and so we are into the 3rd instalment of the Ikea Bloggers’ program. And this month, we are onto the Dining area of the house with the theme “Eating & Dining”! This is definitely easier to work on for a food blogger, since we all need a place to enjoy our “produce” after all the cooking and baking storms in the kitchen. With that, I decided to come up with a mini afternoon tea party at the dining corner of the house. We certainly need a table setting to make the guests feel welcomed. And as the name implies, the food that are gonna be served will be nothing short of home-made pastries and desserts.

The Final Transformation…..
The menu today includes home-made muffins of assorted flavours, fruit jellies sticks, cookies, snacks and fresh fruits, not forgetting some light refreshments too !
When I first set my eyes on the various cake stands and displays in Ikea, I knew I have to get them home. Hahaha ! It’s like they are perfect displays for my baked goods and especially for occasions like this, they can easily passed off as those English high tea displays that are very Instagram friendly.
On a side note, notice the huge clock that’s on the wall ? Hahaha !! It’s smacked right in the middle of the hall that leads to the kitchen and because it’s an open concept, you can literally see it from anywhere within the area. I love big clocks like such, coz they look so classic and definitely very catchy !
It’s all about bowls and dishes, cups and spoons….
Now now now, you don’t really have to crack your head in deciding whether to have a mini tea party at home now. Creating one isn’t that tough after all. Something dainty and simple as such is good enough, at least to me ! Hahaha. And most importantly, it is the foods and companions that counts, isn’t it ?
And let the party begins now !
