Wah… Despite having a second outlet and been around for sometime already, I am still hearing complaints of the long waiting time for a seat at this place. There is no queue nowadays, which appears to be very deceiving. Therefore, I took my own sweet time when I headed for the restaurant. But else, the queue system is in the form of an “on-the-spot reservation” where you leave down your contact number in the queue list and they will contact you once a seat is available.
Fortunately we were slightly early on a weekday night, arriving at around 6pm and our waiting time was approximately 30 minutes before we were informed that a table was available for us.
We started the meal with some supposedly starters that were obviously too heavy for us. It wasn’t too big a piece, probably the size of half a lady’s palm. The slight marinated bacon wraps around a ball of sushi rice, drizzles with teriyaki sauce and served on a slice of fresh lettuce. As this is the pal’s re-visit to the restaurant and she swears by the goodness of this, so I made sure I had to give this a try too ! Though I won’t say it’s a very innovative creation, and probably you could easily re-invent this in the comfort of your home, but the taste of it all is satisfactory and probably will be a hit with kids since they probably won’t have the appreciation for hotpot, collagen or whatsoever !
We had the truffle fries too and concluded that they are akin to ordinary fries, but abit more salty than usual.
The pleasing part was definitely the sauces. Look at the emoticons !
For a price of $25++, the collagen-filled hotpot comes with a standard set of hotpot ingredients and a choice of ramen noodles, meant for 2 to 3 pax. No worries on how to indulge in it as the staff around are more than helpful to prepare everything for you from the beginning till the end.
The soup broth with the collagen inches up a layer of oil that filled the soup base with much aroma and richness. If I can use this as a stock for cooking, it’s sure gonna be sooo yummylicious !
Though you see only vege here, but there are also a couple of fresh prawns and your choice of meat made available too that goes into the hotpot.
The sweetness from the seafood adds to the simmering broth as well and what comes off is a very tasty and rich soup broth that’s both nutritious and delicious. And as we all know, collagen is a good enhancement for the skin, therefore you will not fail to notice that most of the patrons are indeed ladies !
And the dessert was a nice complimentary on the house. Isn’t this kawaii !! All thumbs up for the personalized efforts in food presentation here !
And the pal was proudly promoted to the MANAGER ! The next milestone will be the General Manager of the Farm. And I jokingly said that she would be a chickens rearing expert soon ! Hahaha!
