SPAM & Cheese Bread Pudding 起司午餐肉面包布丁

Serves: 3
  • 3 slices of bead
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 30 butter
  • 100ml whipped cream
  • 75ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar (Feel free to add more if you have a sweeter tooth!)
  • Some freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 slices of SPAM
  • 2 pieces of cheddar cheese slices
  • 4-5 tbsp of grated cheese
  1. Heat up the olive oil and pan fried the SPAM for awhile till they are lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Spread around 10g of butter on each slice of bread. Cut into cubes.
  3. Combine the whipped cream, milk, eggs, salt, sugar and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir to mix well. Set aside.
  4. Lay half of the bread cubes onto the bottom of the oven dish with the butter side facing up.
  5. Cut the SPAM into cubes and spread half of them on top of the bread cubes.
  6. Cut the cheese slice into small pieces and lay them on top of the SPAM.
  7. Add on another layer of remaining bread cubes.
  8. Spread the balance SPAM cubes over the 2nd layer of bread cubes.
  9. Pour in the whipped cream mixture from Step 2.
  10. Spread the grated cheese all over the top.
  11. Place the oven dish on a bigger baking tin and bake in a pre-heated oven (with fan mode on) at 175 degrees C for approximately 35-40 minutes until the top is nicely browned and the skewer inserted comes out clean.
  12. Garnish as desired and serve hot.
